Computers and Me

Create a slide show presentation in Microsoft Power Point, Open Office Impress, or Google Slides to tell how computers are used in your daily life and career choice.

Computer Skills: Enhance your skills with Power Point by adding transitions, graphs and multimedia.

Computer Knowledge: Recognize the importance of computers in your everyday life, school, and career.

This is NOT about computers in general or how other people use computers, it is about YOU!

Your slide show presentation can include video, a song (rap about computers?), sound, drawings and animation. It must be done in Power Point (MC students can download PowerPoint for free as part of Microsoft Office.) Use your imagination and have fun.

Submit the Lastname_Firstname-computers-and-me.pptx file in Blackboard.

The following are requirements:

If any of these requirements are not met, the score will be 0.

If the requirements are met, the grade is as follows:

Starts with an introduction slide giving your name and title of project	4
Gives at least 3 examples of how computers are used in your life.	6
Gives at least 3 examples of how computers are used in your work or future career.	6
Shows knowledge of PowerPoint, including at least 4 transitions.	4
There are no blank or duplicate slides or slides with empty content.	4
All words are spelled correctly.	4
Includes at least one table or chart.	3
Includes at least one sound or animation.	3
Includes at least 3 pictures.	3
The last slide gives at least 3 references.	3
Presentation has at least 6 slides, and shows real effort.	10

If you do not receive a perfect score you may resubmit it as long as it is resubmitted within 3 days.
