Hello World! I'm talking about functional decomposition diagrams. The idea of a functional decomposition diagram. Is to take something that's complicated, Like Household Management. And start breaking it down into smaller, and smaller units until we have something that's fairly simple. For household management I've got three categories. The housing itself, Food. And clothing. For housing I can break that down into cleaning house. And Seasonal maintenance. Cleaning a house we can have each room or we could have step by step that is general for each room and eventually we get down to how to mop a floor by filling a bucket with water and that seems pretty simple. We could do the same thing with buying groceries. First we gather together the coupons, we make a list of what we need to do, what we need to buy. And we go to the grocery store and. We put all the things in the car. And we pay for them and we take them home. Put them away. If it's frozen food. They have to go into the freezer. And preparing meals, we could break it down, way down to the point where We're going to peel potatoes or chop vegetables. For clothing You could add to this. Diagram if you wanted to do that. Clothing we have to buy the clothing we have to. Repair the clothing we have to wash the clothing. Some clothes have to be taken to the dry cleaners to be cleaned. But you could brainstorm. And add to this. And so that's the idea: to keep breaking it down into smaller and smaller parts Until It's easy. And that's it.
